Position Summary Hopkins | Lacy, the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, (MEP) Division of Branch, is searching for skilled Electricians. The Electrician is responsible for planning the layout, installing, and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. Any Electrician with 2+ years of experience encouraged to apply! Duties/Responsibilities: Duties/Responsibilities Cont. - Plans new or modified installation to minimize waste of material - Provide access for future maintenance and avoid unsightly, hazardous or unreliable wiring consistent with specifications, local and national electrical codes. - Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings and flooring. - Measures, cuts, bends, threads, and assembles and installs electrical conduit using tools such as hacksaw, pipe threader and conduit bender. - Pulls wiring through conduit assisted by helper. - Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads using knife or pliers, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps. - Connects wiring to l...
