A Day in Your Life at MKS/ High Q Laser: As a Senior Software Engineer (w/m/d) at High Q Laser GmbH, part of MKS, you will work closely with global teams to design, develop, and support software interfaces for high‑tech laser systems. In this role, you'll take ownership of a business-critical MES system used across production lines, influence new product introduction (NPI) processes, and modernize a homegrown system. The role reports directly to the Manufacturing & Engineering Manager. You Will Make an Impact By: - Developing and maintaining the internal MES system, including the implementation of new manufacturing workflows, features, and improvements - Designing and implementing software interfaces to communicate with laser systems, test equipment, and production hardware - Developing user‑friendly GUIs (WPF) for operators, technicians, and engineers in a manufacturing environment - Ensuring reliable data handling and traceability, including interaction with SQL databases using Entity Framework (EF6) - Supporting manufacturing operations, troubleshooting software issues in production and implementing sustainable solutions - Collaborating cross‑functionally with Manufacturing Engi...
