Hourly Pay Range: $17.00 - $23.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Details: - Position: Observation Assistant - Resource Team - Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights, IL - Hours: 7am-3:30pm/7am-7:30pm, Every other weekend - Per Diem Commitment: Level 1 -must be able to work at least 48 hours every 6 weeks, including 24 hours of weekend time in 6 weeks; 1 summer and 1 winter holiday - Floating Required What you will do: - Provides constant observation for designated patient(s); stays alert and supportive throughout assigned shift; reorients patient to surroundings (day, time, and place) as necessary; provides appropriate interaction and verbal direction to the patient. Seeks Registered Nurse assistance for any emergency situation and as needed. - Documents patient’s behavior at regular intervals as required by sitter guidelines utilizing an established checklist. - Assists health care professionals with repositioning, turning, and transferring patients.
