Cable/Harness Design Engineer

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing cables/harness, either individually or in a team environment, to be used for military applications with a focus on aviation. The candidate will be capable of using Creo Schematic and Creo Parametric, or similar Computer Assisted Design (CAD) systems, to prepare electro/mechanical design layouts, electrical diagrams, detail and assembly drawings and models in accordance with ASME Y14 Standards, and related documentation in conformance to appropriate program and/or military specifications. Experience in the design of wiring products to AS5088-1 and familiarity with IPC WHMA-620 manufacturing processes. Additional tasking will include the identification & execution of the program requirements, preparation/participation for technical meetings for internal and external representatives, effective communication between teams and team members, and the ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks in an organized manner with attention to detail and thoroughness.
