A Brief Overview: You will join a team of 29 partners in the multispecialty General Surgery Division, specifically with 9 surgeons dedicated to acute care/trauma services. The division is also comprised of fellowship trained surgeons in critical care, colorectal, minimally invasive, bariatric, and hepatobiliary subspecialties. . Responsibilities include: - Coverage of in-house Level 1 Trauma and Emergency General Surgery at Evanston Hospital; - Coverage of Level 2 Trauma Call and Emergency General Surgery at Skokie, Glenbrook, and Highland Park Hospitals; - Four to six hours per month of general surgery post op clinic; - Coverage of critical care in the Surgical ICU at Evanston and Skokie Hospitals - Oversees Residency and Fellowship Programs through the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. - Teaching opportunities, academic appointment - Research opportunities are available for interested and qualified candidates.
