Job description

The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has a job opening for a Corrections Monitor for the Palm Beach County Area Command, located in West Palm Beach, FL. Job Summary: Monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring accountability, safety, security and compliance to corrections facility rules; monitors client behavior and serves as liaison between client and counselor communicating pertinent information; administers drug/alcohol testing as required; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information regarding facility occupancy and client accountability. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of basic computer skills and ability to operate with web based programs (Secure Manage, 3RM BOP). Skill in accuracy and data management and attention to detail. Skill in dealing with a wide variety of people, problems and increased complexity. Ability to pass drug screening requirements.
