Job Title: Flock Health Technician Department: Veterinarian Department: Location: Ames, IA: Reports To: Sr. Director of Veterinary Services Job Type: Full time, Exempt: Job Summary: The Flock Health Technician serves as an extension of Corporate Veterinarian services, overseeing the health and welfare of flocks managed by Versova Management. Essential Job Functions: - Coordinate with compliance teams to manage and implement disease surveillance programs - Summarize and interpret laboratory results for disease and titer surveillance - Assist in implementing new vaccination protocols and communicate during vaccine shortages - Conduct routine site visits to evaluate bird health and biosecurity practices - Organize and develop educational sessions for staff (e.g., necropsy, euthanasia, sample collection) - Seek process improvements and expand use of technologies for disease surveillance testing - Collaborate with compliance, laboratory, and operations teams to improve flock management - Respond to occasional requests outside normal working hours - Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent experience - Detail-oriented with str...
