Urgent Care Clinician

Job description

Position Summary The Urgent Care Clinician will work in a community behavioral health setting, providing services for children, adults and families who are in crisis and experiencing a mental health and/or substance use disorder. Services will include provision of comprehensive assessments for mental health, substance use and co-occurring presentations, development of treatment plans that best ensures for safety and optimizes the effective resolution of the crisis, referrals to community support services and psychoeducation, as well coordination of acute treatment services, as needed, utilizing evidence-based practices. The Urgent Care Clinician will work with the Clinic Director within the Outpatient Clinic’s team model, establishing open communication, support, and accountability among workers and consumers. The Urgent Care Clinician will be required to provide services during evenings throughout the week and on Saturdays, on-site and in-person, at the Outpatient Clinic.
