Building Energy Management Systems Technician

Job description

General Summary of Position: Maintain building temperatures by monitoring, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing electronic devices and related mechanical equipment involved with building heating, cooling and ventilation systems. This also includes repair of devices such as fume hoods, domestic hot water heaters, lighting and other energy management equipment involved with day to day building operations. Making modifications to the software logic and scheduling end devices to assist in saving energy. Minimum Qualifications (Required): - 3-5 years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, technical experience in the installation, construction, design, repair, maintenance or testing of building HVAC systems and electronic, electrical, mechanical systems. - 3-5 years practical experience in the Controls Industry - A diploma or certificate from a recognized trade, technical or vocational school at high school level or higher, with a major in heating, cooling and ventilation systems and controls or mechanical or electrical practices required.
