Job Summary: The Shop Welder Tech 1 (Line Bore), performs basic welding repairs and fabrication utilizing Holt, Caterpillar and AWS Welding Procedures, Standards and Codes. Demonstrating competency with a cutting torch, air arc, and hand tools. In addition, this position will be introduced to the line bore tooling and process. The incumbent in this position shall model the following practices daily: 1)Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development. Essential Functions: - Models, promote, and reinforce the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission. - Performs basic welding repairs/fabrication on heavy equipment and components in a shop environment - Utilizes layout/fitup tools, grinders, sanders, tape measure, blueprints, drawings as well as adhering to all welding processes. - Performs basic carbon arc gouging, oxy/acetylene torch cutting/gouging and welding on various types of materials. - Ensures all welding work is compliant with specific welding codes, proced...
