The Administrative Support Assistant provides high level administrative support to the Fire Prevention and Investigation Officers within Strathcona County Emergency Services. This position requires a high level of demonstrated administrative skills with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities while working under pressure to meet deadlines as required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to maintain professional and effective communication with emergency services leadership, other municipal departments, industry, residents and customers. This posting is for 1 temporary full-time position up to 12 months Key Responsibilities: - Prepare draft meeting agendas, notes and minutes, guidelines and policies, presentations, and other ad-hoc reports following department and corporate standards, guidelines and policies - Provide administrative support for all fire incident files and submission of monthly fire incident data, including statistical reports - When requested, coordinate disclosure requests for insurance companies and law enforcement personnel.
