Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for a Land Surveying Intern located at the Columbus General Office in Columbus , Nebraska. Position closes May 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. This position can support up to 20-30 hours per week during the school year, depending on student availability, and 40 hours per week when school is not in session. ​ Position Summary: The Land Surveying Intern assists in conducting surveys and collecting field data for use in the engineering design and monitoring of NPPD facilities in addition to providing construction staking for various projects. The intern also assists in generating drawings, maps, plats, and legal documents, and assists in performing the computation of survey data to support design criteria. This position requires occasional overnight travel to be discussed during the interview process. Education, Training and Experience: The intern must be enrolled in an accredited two‑year or four‑year college/university in a Land Surveying degree program carrying a minimum of 12 semester units or eight quarter units with freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior standing must maintain enrollment throughout the internshi...
