We are looking for a talented School to Work - Purchasing student to join our team specializing in Purchasing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Troy, MI . This role will primarily support the North American Steel Purchasing team. Not only will you provide valuable support to the purchasing team, but gain insight into manufacturing and the steel industry. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Cost Reduction: By creating Request for Quote bid packages, you’ll help drive cost reduction activities, contributing to the company’s financial efficiency. Smooth Transitions: Supporting transition activities into Cummins processes will ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations. Order Management: Regularly maintaining and updating Oracle purchase orders will keep the procurement process efficient and accurate. Global Supplier Network: Researching and creating supplier add forms will expand and diversify the company’s supplier base, enhancing global sourcing capabilities.
