The Department of World Languages at the University of South Florida, Tampa, is seeking candidates for an appointment to a full-time, 9-month and non-tenure earning visiting position with the possible extension for a second and/or third year to teach Spanish at the rank of Visiting Assistant Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction, effective August 7, 2026. Salary is $50,000, non-negotiable. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. Teach all levels (elementary to advanced) of undergraduate Spanish language. Minimum Qualifications: - MA from an accredited institution in Spanish or a related field of specialization - native or near-native competence in Spanish and English - demonstrated success in teaching Spanish language courses Preferred Qualifications: Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree. - experience teaching all levels of Spanish language courses plus cultural content courses - experience with online instruction - PhD from an accredited institution in Spanish or a related field of specialization - Training in Second Language Acquisition - Senate Bill 1310- The Florida Senate (https://www.flse...
