Journeyperson Powerline Technician (Grid Response)

Job description

We are currently seeking Powerline Technicians (PLT) to join our Grid Response Team for Toronto Hydro. Reporting to the Senior Foreperson, this position plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and resiliency of electrical distribution systems. It is responsible for responding to outages, conducting repairs, performing maintenance, and restoring power in a timely and safe manner. Working both independently and as part of a response crew, we are looking for self-motivated team players willing to work shift work (plus overtime) to ensure that service interruptions are minimized and that system integrity is upheld during both routine operations and emergency events.
