The Assistant Manager – Clinical Operations plays a key leadership role in supporting that mission by helping oversee day‑to‑day clinical operations on the Medical Surgical (3C) unit at IU Health West. This role supports a culture of compassion, excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement while ensuring our patients receive safe, high‑quality, and patient‑centered care. Position Summary: The Assistant Manager partners closely with the Unit Manager to support clinical operations, staff engagement, patient experience, quality outcomes, and workflow efficiency on a 24/7 unit . Approximately 40% of this role’s scheduled time occurs during off-hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and on‑call coverage , to ensure strong leadership presence across all shifts. This role helps maintain a positive team environment, supports continuous improvement, and advances the IU Health mission and the IU Health Way.
