The Assistant Shift Supervisor provides support to the shift supervisor, ensures the team meets shift production goals, back up team leader. Responsibilities: - Work with all team members in each area in day-to-day operations. - Fill in areas when personnel are absent if staffing is not available. - Train new hires when needed. - Back up team leader on all fronts of Pellet Mill/ Hammermill operation. - Follow up on daily shift testing to make sure within spec and if not communicate to the team leader. - Should own the 5s procedure with all that applies. - Must be able to multitask by balancing multiple items throughout the process. - Perform/coordinate housekeeping daily/weekly for shift swaps to maintain to required standard, also walk with Safety manager during housekeeping audit monthly. - Escalate issues promptly for proper resolution Qualifications: Preferre...
