Why This Role Matters: The Document Specialist manages the end-to-end lifecycle of business-critical documents within a supplemental healthcare environment — from drafting, formatting, and revision through version control, implementation, and ongoing maintenance. The role also supports regulatory and product readiness by tracking Department of Insurance filing statuses for current and upcoming product lines. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and well-versed in document governance, regulatory requirements, and healthcare privacy standards (HIPAA, PHI, PII).
