Hampton, Virginia Overview: Works under the supervision of the Charge RN/Nursing Supervisor/Nurse Manager/Director in personal care of the patients and their environment, including those needing special precautions. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to support/provide care appropriate to the age of the patient/resident served on unit assigned. The individual must have knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's/residents status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's/resident's requirements relative to age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the departmental policy and procedure guide. What you will do: - Assesses and treats children, adolescents, and adults seeking psychiatric and/or chemical dependency treatment. Communicates patient, resident, family needs to physicians accurately and completely.
