Summary Description: The Adjunct Instructor for Psychology reports to the Chair of the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences and is responsible for teaching lower and upper division courses in psychology or human development on the traditional campus. Terms on the traditional campus typically run 15 weeks. At Warner Pacific University, psychology and human development courses in the traditional program are taken by students in psychology, human development, social work, and those meeting core requirements. Primary Job Duties: - Teach assigned courses in psychology or human development, modeling current best practices in teaching, demonstrating a commitment to sound andragogical and pedagogical practices. Courses may include, but are not limited to, Abnormal Psychology, Personality Theory, and Introduction to Psychology. - Advise and mentor students during the course. - Clearly communicate to students when and how to secure instruction and feedback outside of regular course meeting hours. - Provide prompt and thorough feedback to students to ensure their ability to incorporate changes before subsequent assignments. - Work collegially with faculty, staff, and students. - Underst...
