Job description

The Service & Team: The commissioning team supports and leads commissioning across the Together for Families Directorate across three thematic areas: Young People; Families; and, Additional Needs. The role holder will have a focused area of work but is expected to work across all thematic areas. The role holder will take the lead on an area of work within Children and Family Services and will include representing the Council with stakeholders inside and outside of the organisation. The Role: Our Vision is that a ll children and young people in Cornwall are safe and healthy, having equal opportunities to achieve brighter futures and closing the gap for the most vulnerable children and young people. The role holder will be expected to take a creative, visible and robust approach with partnership working throughout, persuading and influencing other stakeholder commissioners as well as delivery through more formal mechanisms such as procurement.
