Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Louisville, KY 40241Position Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeEducation Level: High SchoolTravel Percentage: Up to 50% Job Shift: DayJob Category: Health CareMohs Laboratory Technicians are primarily responsible for providing the Mohs Surgeon(s) with microscope slides that have been properly cut and stained in order to determine if skin margins are free of tumor, or if further surgery is needed. The Laboratory Technician will work each day in the lab, embedding, cutting, and staining are the main duties of this position. Other duties include set-up, producing surgery reports, assembling sterile packs, and multiple other responsibilities as assigned. Travel to other Mohs clinics in the are is required as needed. QualificationsPosition Requirements: Process, embed, cut, stain and coverslip Filing slides Produce Mohs Surgery Reports using Microsoft Word Computer skills to include data entry and EMA knowledge Ability to multitask in a high paced, sometimes high stress environment Maintain spreadsheets for QA and QC monitoring Excellent attention to detail Strong organizational skills The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and manageme...
