Preconstruction Estimator and Designer

Description Position Summary: This role supports our commercial division by increasing bid capacity so we can pursue qualified opportunities without slowing down the rest of the business. This person will handle estimating and designing the Tharp division and project coordination for the Boulder Mills division. When bid activity is lighter, they will step in as a working designer on commercial projects. Primary Responsibilities: Estimating: - Evaluate bid opportunities and determine project fit before committing resources. - Lead the preparation of complete, accurate bid packages for qualified commercial projects. - Develop pricing strategies including options and value engineering to support the sales process. - Coordinate with vendors, reps, and subcontractors for pricing and lead times. - Manage bid schedules, deadlines, and overall pipeline visibility. - Track bid results and maintain data to improve future go/no-go decisions.
