Position Summary: A Lifeguard plays a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging Aquatic Center within the David Williams II Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center (Rec). As part of the Aquatics team, Lifeguards ensure participant safety while fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all patrons. Responsibilities include risk management, participant oversight, emergency response, accurate documentation, facility upkeep, and supporting the Rec’s mission. Lifeguards are trusted leaders on deck, expected to remain alert, proactive, and ready to respond at all times.
