Position Function: Mississippi State University’s Oncology Internship is a 12-month clinical program designed to provide advanced clinical training in companion animal oncology and prepare the individual to be highly qualified and competitive for advancement into an ACVIM approved oncology residency or entrance into a high-level private practice environment. Salary Grade : UC: Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department. Area of Specialization: Specialty Intern in Oncology Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to primary training in oncology, opportunities exist for scheduling rotations through other services including internal medicine, radiology, surgery, anesthesia, neurology, anatomical and clinical pathology, and ophthalmology. The intern will work under the supervision of senior clinicians and will be responsible for daily services of the clinic, with a high proportion of predominantly referral-level primary case care responsibilities.
