Job Description OPEN ONLY TO THOSE PERMANENT IN THE CIVIL SERVICE TITLE MAINTENANCE WORKEROR THOSE WHO ARE REACHABLE ON THE CIVIL SERVICE LIST FOR MAINTENANCE WORKER, EXAMS NO. 3128 & 4064. The bureau is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform the following duties: Duties will include but not limited to: For appointment, candidates will be required to possess a Motor Vehicle Driver License valid in the State of New York. This license must be maintained for the duration of employment. - Maintain, adjust and make minor repairs of building hardware, furniture, shelving and equipment. Replaces broken window and door glass. - Make minor repairs to masonry, woodwork, flooring and walls. Makes minor repairs to building electrical, plumbing and heating systems. - Visually inspect public buildings, structure and equipment to assess and check for defects, malfunctions and hazardous conditions. - Determine parts and materials needed to repair pending job orders and reports this information to Supervisor. - Maintain pneumatic controls for heat and cooling systems....
