Description The Biological Sciences Department at Knox College invites applications for a two-year visiting assistant professor position in biology beginning Fall 2019. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of courses in molecular and/or organismal biology. This may include introductory courses as well as upper level courses that fit the candidate’s area of expertise and the needs of the department. A Ph.D. at the time of appointment is preferred but exceptional ABD candidates will be considered. Knox is an independent, selective liberal arts institution with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in a diverse environment. Our student body is made up of 28 percent first-generation college students, 35 percent domestic students of color, and 17 percent international students.
