The Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL is part of the ETH Domain. Approximately 600 people work on the sustainable use and protection of the environment and on the handling of natural hazards. Internship Long-term Forest Ecosystem Research (LWF) (f/m/d) The Forest and Soil Ecology research unit investigates the functioning of forests and soils, as well as the influence of environmental factors on above- and below-ground processes in forest ecosystems. Within the framework of the Long-term Forest Ecosystem Research (LWF), the leaf area index is regularly assessed on monitoring plots using light measurements and hemispherical photography. For this fieldwork and the subsequent analysis of the data collected, we offer a position from July 2026 to approximately mid-August 2026 for a duration of 1.5 months You conduct light measurements using a LI-COR device as well as hemispherical photography in the field.
