Job Description Summary The Mechanical Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, analyzing, and optimizing the products within the gas power portfolio. This role involves working across various stages of the product lifecycle, from initial design to field issue resolution. The engineer will ensure technical excellence, safety, and performance of mechanical components through advanced analysis, innovative design, and continuous improvement. Job Description: Roles and Responsibilities: - Design and analyze mechanical components throughout the gas power product portfolio. - Perform thermal, stress, and modal analysis of components within the gas turbine, steam, generator, aeroderivative, and powerplant accessory space. - Conduct testing and validation of new and existing designs and analyze post-test data. - Create design documentation, including drawings, layouts, and diagrams. - Support engineering focal for new Qualifications supporting GEV and supplier production. - Support root cause analysis (RCA) and develop corrective actions (CAPA) to improve product reliability, quality, and performance. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs. - Take techn...
