BARFI BITES AS is looking for an experienced Mithai Pastry Chef / South Asian Sweet Maker Full-time / Part-time Location: Oslo (Holmlia Senter) Start date: Upon agreement This is not a typical pastry chef position. Barfi Bites is looking for someone with genuine experience in traditional South Asian sweets and mithai craftsmanship from countries such as India, Pakistan or Bangladesh. We are searching for someone who truly understands the craftsmanship behind classic sweets such as: Barfi Gulab Jamun Jalebi Rasgulla Laddoo Halwa Kaju Katli Milk Cake Cham Cham Bengali sweets and other traditional mithai products Perhaps you learned through family traditions, generations, your own sweet shop or traditional production environments. This is a very unique skill set in Scandinavia. Therefore, we are searching broadly across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Brussel and the Netherlands. About the role You will work closely with the production of traditional South Asian sweets where quality, authenticity and feeling for the craft are essential.
