City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift: First (Days) Overview: Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant for Sentara Primary Care and Therapy Center Oceanfront. Qualified Candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to 5K! Position Status : Full Time: Position Location : Virginia Beach, VA Standard Working Hours : 8 am -4:30 pm, Monday - Friday Overview: Perform patient care related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Perform administrative duties, as appropriate. Education: - High school diploma or equivalent Certification/Licensure: - Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (Required) - BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
