Position Summary Crooked Creek Lake, located near Ford City, Pennsylvania, is a 350-acre reservoir managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Its primary goal, established with its completion in 1940, is flood control for the Allegheny River basin, having prevented significant flood damage throughout its history. The project also serves to enhance water quality and provides diverse recreational opportunities, including fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, camping, and disc golf. Interns will focus on environmental education, natural resource management, and supporting recreational activities such as swimming, boating, and camping to ensure a positive visitor experience. They also work in partnerships with other agencies to support conservation efforts.
