Job Description Coordinates intra-department and intra-hospital transfers, ensuring continuity of all necessary communication between departments. Job Responsibility: 1.Assigns and facilitates patient bed assignments according to hospital patient aggregation. 2.Accepts phone calls from attending physician offices for direct admissions Reviews specific orders that may impact bed placement (i.e.: one-on-one constant observation, telemetry needs, pending lab specimens, admit orders for medicine teams). 3.Collects data for Zone alerts (admissions, discharges, bed demands/availability status of surge units, etc.). 4.Collates data from Teletracking to provide information needed for daily bed meeting template. 5.Escalates bed management problems to a registered nurse. 6.Obtains and records necessary information regarding expirations to ensure accuracy and timely preparation of death certificates. 7.Performs related duties as required.
