Position Title Sterile Processing Technician Program Bell Hospital, Cambridge Tower A, Indian Creek Main, Olathe Hospital Position Summary / Career Interest: Under the direction of the Sterile Processing Technician Program, Student Manager and Faculty, those accepted into Sterile Processing Technician Program as a student is an unlicensed staff member, who is accountable to/completes delegated assignments and tasks as assigned by Manager, Faculty, Leadership or Preceptor, the Sterile Processing Technician tasked to guide students during clinicals, in a caring and culturally sensitive manner with excellent customer service at all times. Students are expected to demonstrate competence in the areas of critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, and technical skills related to delegated tasks and task areas (Decontamination, Preparation and Packaging, Sterilization, and Sterile Storage). During clinical rotation, students, developing and learning skills, assist their Preceptors in the processing of instrumentation utilized in the operating room and ancillary areas according to regulatory standards and appropriate internal standards.
