Job description
The Corrosion Control Specialist is responsible for corrosion control and painting of assigned aircraft and ground equipment. Essential Responsibilities: - Proficient in paint removal, metal treatment, application of paint by spray method, and the installation of decals and markings. - Accomplishes maintenance forms required by duties and performs other related duties as assigned. - Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: - High School diploma or equivalent - Must be able to obtain and maintain site access. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain site access. - Must have a valid driver’s license (must be able to obtain the Real ID within 30 days of employment) - One (1) year or more in aircraft/automotive/manufacturing painting (DD214 or employment history). - Or completion of a certified vocational or apprenticeship program with minimum six (6) months’ experience in the aircraft, automotive, or manufacturing industry - Required to wear proper PPE gear when prepping and painting aircraft. - Required to complete respirator fit test (no facial hair). - Must be able to perform the physical requirements as stipulated in Appendix E of the Collective Bargaining Agreeme...
