Associate Mainframe Systems Programmer This role is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their mainframe career to deepen their skills in the IBM z/OS environment while supporting high‑volume enterprise systems. You’ll work alongside senior engineers to maintain and enhance a parallel sysplex running CICS and DB2 , help monitor performance, assist with automation, and participate in system programming tasks. This position is ideal for someone with foundational mainframe experience who is eager to grow into a broader systems programming role. What You’ll Do: Support the z/OS V3.1 operating system in a parallel sysplex environment for two mainframe systems running CICS and DB2, including participation in disaster‑recovery activities. Assist with performance and capacity monitoring using tools such as SMF , MXG , WLM , and BMC AMI OPS . Help build and maintain automation to detect, prevent, or resolve system issues, using scripting languages like REXX . Participate in standard system programming tasks, including hardware configuration, software installation, maintenance, and vendor product updates.
