Sleep Center Technician

Job description

Reports To : Sleep Center Director FLSA Classification: Part-Time Nights or PRN Nights , Non Exempt, Hourly $30.00-$38.00 Essential Functions: - Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center sleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care, and direct patient education. - Collect, analyze and accommodate patient information in order to identify and meet specific patient needs such as : physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status regarding testing procedure, as well as medical/social history. - Must be competent and confident in their ability to follow established protocols for PSG, Split-night, PAP Titration (CPAP, BI-Level, Auto-Servo Ventilation) , End Tidal CO2 monitoring and O2 qualification/titration. - Knowledgeable in appropriate use of equipment/supplies and calibration to determine proper function of equipment and performance of systems, must also be able to adjust accordingly. - Tech must stay up to date with American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines. - Follows established protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data. - Identifies, corrects and documen...
