Lead, Material Handler - 1st Shift

Job description

Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in distribution center or storage yard. Responsibilities: Schedule: Sunday - Tuesday (6A- 6P) / Wednesday (6A - 12P) - Supports, trains and certifies newly hired LTOs - Operates industrial powered lift truck in a safe and efficient manner - In the absence of the Shift Supervisor the Lead will act as Supervisor as needed - Inventories materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed - Assists Supervisors and management of the facility in planning, assigning and directing work - Assist LTO's with daily issues - Assist other Leads and Supervisors with ensuring that policies, procedures, and best practices are being followed - Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. - Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. - Other duties as assigned Qualifications: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one or more years of r...
