Location: Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) Shift: Days (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Worker Type: Regular Exemption Status: Yes Job Summary: A plastic surgeon deals with the repair, reconstruction or replacement of physical defects of form or function involving the skin, musculoskeletal system, craniomaxillofacial structures, hands, extremities, breasts and trunk and external genitalia. They use aesthetic surgical principles not only to improve undesirable qualities of normal structures but in all reconstructive procedures as well. A plastic surgeon possesses special knowledge and skill in the design and surgery of grafts, flaps, free-tissue transfer and replantation. Competence in the management of complex wounds, the use of implantable materials and in tumor surgery is required. Job Duties: Geisinger is seeking a board eligible/board certified plastic surgeon to join our Plastic Surgery Department. The successful candidate must be hardworking, energetic, and team oriented.
