About the Metrologist/CMM Operator position We are looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our team. You should possess a trained eye for detail, be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and excellent comprehension of quality standards are also required. Metrologist responsibilities are: Plan, promote, and participate in activities to support safety and quality. Participate as a Trainer when needed. Develop and maintain CMM work instructions. Perform part layouts/inspections using precision measuring instruments including: micrometers, calipers, height gage, pin gages, gage blocks, comparator, bore gages, thread gages, and spectrophotometer, etc. Support the Quality Engineers in meeting part submission requirements and/or validation Provide documented reports and explanation of inspection results. Performs capability studies as required by internal or external customers. Develop and maintain the gage control systems. Develop and maintain work instructions on proper use of inspection fixtures/gages. Train others to run existing inspection programs on the CMM.
