Position Summary: The EMT‐P is an allied health professional who provides a wide range of patient care and transportation outside the hospital setting. Under emergency and non‐emergency conditions. The Paramedic will encounter all types of patients with complaints of chest pain to multiple patient accidents. The individual must be able to deal with all types of human responses from the patient, bystanders, and themselves. The Paramedic is responsible for functioning in the pre‐hospital setting as well as various capacities throughout the hospital. Patient care encompasses patients of all ages regardless of race, religion, or cultural background. Education, License & Cert: Paramedic Certification with PA DOH High School Diploma or equivalent required. Will consider military experience in lieu of high school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Maintains current certification as an EMT‐P by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Recommended to maintain current certification in ACLS, and PALS. Must have CPR and EVOC certification with EMSVO endorsement on Paramedic certification. Must have current valid driver’s license.
