Job Title Scrap Room Technician Department: Operations: Reports to: Production Supervisor: Employment Status: Regular, Full-Time: FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Shift: 2-2-3 7:00am-7:00pm A crew Location: USA – Olyphant, PA (greater Scranton, PA Area) Travel: 0% Position Summary: The Scrap Room Technician is responsible for the unloading, receiving, and processing (SAP Goods Receipt) of all inbound aluminum coils. They are responsible to deliver the coils to the line for consumption as well as removal of all dunnage and packaging materials following processing. This person is also responsible for handling all of the processing of scrap materials in the scrap room. This includes, but is not limited to, weighing, processing (SAP BOL creation), and loading scrap onto trucks for outbound shipment. Essential Functions/Key Deliverables: · Inspect the technical condition of the Forklift and other material handling equipment before starting work to determine the need for repairs to safely operate machinery. · Record pre-use checks in the provided system or the vehicle logbook as required. · Operation of large industrial lift truck (approx. 80,000lbs capacity). · Report any faults and/or b...
