UNIT PROFILE: COAST (Crisis Outreach and Support Team) is a program supported by St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton that provides emergency mental health and addiction services to members of the Hamilton community. As a leader in mental health and addiction COAST works with a multidisciplinary team, including child and youth crisis workers, mental health workers, social workers and police officers to help individuals overcome mental health crises. POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Coast Senior Mental Health Worker will be to provide administrative assistance to program management and act as a subject matter expert by providing assistance to clinical staff in regards to direct clinical service delivery of crisis services to clients. The Senior Mental Health Worker will provide education and resources to COAST staff and the Hamilton and Halton MCRRT teams.
