The Cut is seeking a Senior Editor, Essays & Columns to help shape and grow our signature first-person and opinion-driven storytelling. This editor will work closely with writers to develop distinct voices, sharpen arguments, and publish essays and columns that feel urgent, intimate, and culturally resonant. This role sits at the intersection of editing, commissioning, and story strategy — ideal for someone who is deeply attuned to internet conversation, understands how personal writing moves culture, and knows how to guide writers from idea to publication with rigor and care. This editor would work across verticals, have a rolodex of writers on various topics and be obsessively following trending topics from celebrity to politics in knowing what makes a great Cut story.
