Company Description Job Description: - Lift, assemble and tack joist pieces at the jig. - Setting up MIG Welding Equipment and performing welding operations to join metal parts and components by applying appropriate welding techniques. - Read and interpret shop blueprints, drawings and welding specifications. - Finding the right pieces of metal, position them, lining up and securing all pieces according to the design and help setting up the jig as required - Apply precise and consistent weld to produce defect-free welds. - Keep the work area clean and follow 5S standards. - Performing routine cleaning and basic maintenance of MIG Welding Machines and practicing good housekeeping including 5S and and time management in the performance of daily duties. - Comply with all legislated and Company’s Health, Safety Environmental, Quality and Lean policies, procedures and programs. - All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Position will require the ability to produce welds which meet company quality standards, the ability to lift parts as needed and the ability to work at a pace established by production standards.
