MRI Tech - Per Diem Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm: Job Description: PATIENT POPULATION: The patient population served can be all patients, including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and newborn. This also includes services which affect facility staff, physicians, visitors, vendors and the general public. POSITION SUMMARY: Reports to the Admin Director of Imaging and Physical Therapy, the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (M.R.I.) Technologist provides accurate and precise M.R.I. scans to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment under the direct supervision of the attending Radiologist. Under the direction of the Admin Director of Imaging and Physical Therapy, and in consultation with the Medical Director, the M.R.I. Technologist performs professional duties involved in a variety of Magnetic Resonance Imaging exams. Is responsible for the assessment, treatment or care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients needs.
