Student Intern, Food Service

Job description

SALARY $18.26 per hour: *APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT JOB CORPS STUDENT*: Description: Reports to the food services supervisor or designee. Assists the cooks and cook helpers in preparation of student meals in compliance with government and management directives. Essential Functions: Must be reliable and willing to work evenings and some weekends. - Perform clean‑up and sanitation duties in the food preparation, storage and dish room areas to ensure adequate health standards at all times. - Provide adequate supply of food and transfer merchandise ingredients to cooking area as instructed by the cook or designee. - Student snack bar, clean outside area and other duties as assigned in the Admin Building. - Clearing dirty dishes, washing dishes, bussing tables, and ensuring serving areas are stocked with silverware and trays. - Special Assignments: Some students work in the cafeteria on weekends or evenings to serve brunch and dinner.
