Location: Camp Rappahannock, Richardsville, VA Position Type: Seasonal About this opportunity: This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the functions of the Conservatory Music program; ensures the quality of programs and safety of youth at all times; provides guidance and role modeling to youth and ensures safety and a positive experience for campers. Key responsibilities: - Provides quality music instruction to campers. - Teaches music theory as it applies to the appropriate level for playing purposes. - Provides appropriate lessons for instruction time. - Reviews assigned homework with students and re-teach skills if necessary. - Be responsible for the care of instruments during class, with necessary repairs immediately reported to the Divisional Music Director. - Prepares students for recitals and concerts. - Plans, schedules, assign and monitor the students work in progress and upon competition to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Recommends and develops activities which will develop musical abilities, motor and learning skills of students. - Coordinates the program and activity within the policies and operating procedures of camp. - Maintains di...
