DEPARTMENT: Allied Health Sciences POSITION TITLE: Lecturer Pool – Allied Health Science POSITION DETAILS: The Department of Allied Health Sciences houses two degree programs including the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Health Science and the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Therapeutic Health and Recreation . The BS in Health Science prepares students for a variety of roles within the allied health professions. The curriculum integrates coursework from disciplines across the University to provide students with a broad foundation of knowledge and skills related to life sciences, social sciences, communications, health ecology, public service, ethical practice, and data analysis. The BS in Therapeutic Health and Recreation is designed to provide critical skills in assessment, documentation, leadership, and evidence-based practices that promote the physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being of individuals. This program prepares students for careers in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, community organizations, corrections, and schools.
