Job description

Position Overview This position is responsible to provide operational support in mitigation efforts in a field environment. The primary function of the Hazmat Supervisor is to perform tasks related to Hazardous Material Removal using a variety of specialized equipment. This position will also require supervision and direction of the Hazmat Techs to ensure they meet production and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Build containment areas prior to beginning abatement or decontamination work. - Assemble temporary equipment or structures. - Perform personal air samples. - Train employees as required on job techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use. - Conduct a fit test the first day of the week and on the first day of a new job for all employees who are required to wear respirators. - Document all work completed on the job each day along with the materials/equipment used on the job on a Daily Job Report. - Meet with management and customers to obtain complete understanding of job requirements before project start up. - Take disciplinary action when any Technician or Crew Leader working on the job is in violation of Company policy, regulatory standards, or site-specifi...
